Persistence

per·sist·ence
/pərˈsistəns/
-firm or obstinate continuance in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition.
-the continued or prolonged existence of something

Wow, it's already December. Thanksgiving has come and passed, and now there are christmas songs playing on the radio, and even more christmas decorations in the stores.

I asked a friend if she would like to suggest a word for the blog and her word was persistence. I thought it was really great because there are quite a few people at holiday season time, and even before that, that are very persistent. (like those over exited chistmas friends that start celebrating Christmas in August, like me) First I would like to acknowledge all the people working at convenience stores, Walmart's, and all those others out there. All you poor souls that as soon as July starts you're out there stocking the shelves with Holiday goods.

Another group of people that I would like to say that are very persistent are all those band and orchestra conductors. It really takes a lot to get 32 high school band kids to practice, but somehow they do it, and lo and behold they sound wonderful at the concert. That is thanks to an hour of frantic practicing right before the concert. We may not seem like we are thankful but we really are, you conductors have given us memories and friends.

So thanks to all those persistent orchestra and band conductors.

Goodnight guys :)
